What You’ll Do
This entry-level role supports environmental site investigation, remediation, and data-driven reporting under the direction of senior staff for a Confidential Client in the Energy, Oil & Gas sector.
- Perform field inspections and environmental investigations.
- Collect air, soil, soil gas, and groundwater samples; perform routine field tests.
- Support remedial investigation, remedial design implementation, and monitoring tasks.
- Assist with vapor intrusion investigations and pilot tests.
- Log borings, maintain field records, and perform routine calculations.
- Provide field oversight for remediation activities and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Help prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, and data summaries.
- Identify and document solutions to routine laboratory and field problems.
- Perform other duties as requested by project leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0.
- 0–2 years of related work experience; relevant internships preferred.
- Applicants with an engineering degree are preferred to have EIT certification or current registration for the FE exam.
- Strong technical education with eagerness to learn and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and sound judgment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on teams.
- Availability to work overtime and travel as required by project needs.
Location & Travel
- Primary work location: Manhattan, NY (role may support projects across the region).
- Travel to project sites may be required based on business needs and assignments.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $68,250 — $88,750 USD per year (range provided by the Confidential Client; actual pay will depend on experience, location, and qualifications).
