What You’ll Do

In the Field

  • Gather environmental samples and site data for assessments and monitoring
  • Support environmental investigations and due diligence activities
  • Inspect facilities and infrastructure to help clients meet regulatory requirements
  • Document observations, maintain project records, and follow health & safety procedures

In the Office

  • Review environmental and laboratory data to identify trends and potential concerns
  • Prepare technical reports, maps, permit applications, and other project deliverables
  • Research environmental records and support permitting and compliance tasks
  • Coordinate with clients, regulators, and internal project teams to move work forward

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of related experience from coursework, internships, or professional roles
  • Familiarity or coursework in one or more of:
    • Environmental assessment methods
    • Due diligence processes
    • Regulatory permitting and compliance
    • Asbestos and hazardous building materials
  • Field subsurface exploration or water well installation experience is a plus
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Geologist-in-Training (GIT) credentials — a plus if applicable
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and owning physical field tasks

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

  • Use of company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
  • Outdoor fieldwork supporting subsurface exploration in varying weather
  • Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for long periods (potentially up to 12 hours)
  • Routinely lifting and carrying 40–50 lbs (samples and equipment)
  • Safely maneuvering field equipment (e.g., wheelbarrow) around active construction sites
