What You’ll Do

  • Perform field inspections and environmental investigations, including logging borings and conducting routine field tests.
  • Conduct air, soil, soil-gas, and groundwater sampling; assist with remediation activities for contaminated properties.
  • Assist in planning and executing field investigations and pilot tests; collect, record, and manage data; perform routine and special calculations.
  • Provide field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and safety protocols.
  • Help identify and troubleshoot field and laboratory problems; document findings and escalate issues to supervisors as needed.
  • Support preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications; contribute to data management, evaluation, and environmental assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project delivery and client needs.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0.
  • 0–2 years professional experience; relevant internships or co-ops preferred.
  • Applicants with an engineering degree are preferred to have EIT certification or current FE exam registration.
  • Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, multitasking, and sound judgment.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in project teams.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation for travel to remote job sites.
  • Availability for occasional overtime as project needs dictate.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated salary: $58,463 per year (estimated).
  • Full-time contract position with opportunities to work on diverse environmental projects.

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Primary location: Cleveland, OH (role includes TELECOMMUTE/remote work plus fieldwork).
  • Remote/telecommute work is supported, but role requires regular travel to project sites and hands-on field activities.
  • Candidate must be able to access remote job sites and perform field duties safely and reliably.
