What You’ll Do

As an Entry-level Enterprise Platform Services Software Developer with our Confidential Client in Charlotte, NC, you will contribute to the design, build, and support of enterprise-grade platform services using Core Java, Spring Boot and microservices patterns. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver features, fix defects, and help maintain service reliability.

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with relational databases
• Collaborate on microservices design, including inter-service communication and service discovery
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices (unit testing, CI/CD, version control)
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to on-call rotation as needed
• Learn team processes, tools, and the platform stack; participate in training and mentoring programs

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Strong fundamentals in Core Java (OOP, collections, concurrency basics)
• Familiarity or coursework/experience with Spring Boot and building REST APIs
• Understanding of microservices concepts (service registries, load balancing, stateless services)
• Basic SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience using Git or another version control system
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work on agile teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or project experience building Java/Spring applications
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Exposure to container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
