Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-level Engineering professional to support commercial and industrial construction projects in Elmhurst, IL. This is a full-time, in-office role (Monday–Friday, typical business hours) working with cross-functional teams to execute construction equipment and project needs. The role is best suited for early-career engineers or technicians with engineering-related degrees or equivalent hands-on experience.
What You’ll Do
- Review construction drawings, plans, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Estimate and select equipment and materials for commercial and industrial projects
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates for equipment and scope-of-work items
- Provide technical assistance and product information to customers and internal teams
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, procurement, and field teams to support project execution
- Track tasks, organize priorities, and escalate issues to ensure project milestones are met
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, construction management, construction technology, or a comparable field — or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communicator and comfortable working cross-functionally
Location & Work Authorization
- This is an in-office position based in Elmhurst, IL (Elmhurst, Illinois). Applicants should reside in the Chicagoland area.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
