Role overview
Confidential Client seeks an Entry Level Engineer to join a test and technology development team at their Bettis site laboratory. This is a hands-on engineering role supporting mechanical, electrical, and software test activities for mission-critical systems. The position is located in West Mifflin, PA and is a full-time role.
What You’ll Do
The successful candidate will support lab and test programs by:
- Designing and procuring mechanical test equipment and fixtures
- Planning, troubleshooting, and implementing Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures for electrical systems and instrumentation work
- Developing and maintaining LabVIEW software for National Instruments control systems
- Supporting instrumentation, data acquisition, and test automation tasks
- Participating in test planning, execution, and documentation
- Traveling occasionally to vendors and shipyards for emergent testing and on-site support
What We’re Looking For
Required / preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related technical/engineering field (or a Master’s in a related field)
- Strong verbal communication and test-engineering skills
- Hands-on troubleshooting and laboratory experience
- Preferred: experience with LabVIEW; familiarity with MATLAB, Pro/E (Creo) or SolidWorks is a plus
- Ability to work in a team environment, follow safety procedures, and document test results clearly

- Pay Range: $63,900 – $97,800 per year (salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and business considerations)
