What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is running an invitation-only hiring event in Boston on October 21–22, 2026 for early-career engineers. This role supports water, water-resources, and wastewater treatment and distribution projects across the Northeast. You’ll work on design and analysis tasks under senior staff supervision and have opportunities to develop technical skills in hydraulics, hydraulics/hydrology modeling, and CAD/BIM platforms.
- Perform assignments using standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete engineering tasks and develop professional judgment.
- Apply limited independent judgment for detailing work and selecting preliminary engineering alternatives.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, visual aids, plans, sections, details, and profiles using Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.
- Support water and wastewater treatment evaluations and design.
- Assist with pump station evaluation and design.
- Help perform water distribution system hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design.
- Support sewer collection system evaluation and design and stormwater modeling and analysis.
- Work under the supervision of project managers and senior team members; contribute to project documentation and reporting.
- Travel occasionally to project sites and client offices across the Northeastern U.S.
Estimated salary: $122,102 per year (estimated).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment.
- Basic knowledge of industry-standard software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- GIS and CAD experience; strong skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit are a plus.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture, multi-task, and meet shifting priorities.
- Strong logic, clear writing, and good verbal communication skills.
- Able to work both independently and productively within a team; self-directed learner.
Hiring Event & Location
- The hiring event includes a networking mixer (Wednesday evening) and in-person interviews at the Boston office (Thursday).
- Candidates should be available to interview in-person on October 21–22, 2026.
- This position hires for offices throughout the Northeast (including Boston, Chelmsford, Cape Cod, MA; Rocky Hill, CT; Buffalo, NY; Philadelphia and Conshohocken, PA; Newark, DE).
