What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Engineer to support Mission Module and shipboard engineering activities. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Perform engineering analysis, assessments, investigations, and evaluations for combat, weapon, network, and ancillary systems aboard Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) and in laboratories.
  • Support hardware and software engineering tasks: installation, modernization, integration, testing, and system validation.
  • Collect, analyze, and report test and evaluation data (Developmental Test, Operational Test, CSSQT).
  • Develop, update, test, and validate technical procedures and documentation (drawings, technical manuals, MRCs, CSOSS, C&L, APL/AEL).
  • Respond to Casualty Reports (CASREP), Fleet Tech Assists (FTA) and provide Distance Support (DS) when needed.
  • Perform shipboard and laboratory work to operate, maintain, or modernize systems and equipment.
  • Support Availability planning/execution and other In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) functions for Mission Modules.
  • Participate in Working Integrated Product Teams (WIPT) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
  • Prepare Non-Permanent Changes (NPC), Deviations From Specification (DFS), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
  • Support Reliability Engineering, DMSMS, and FRACAS processes.
  • Conduct Mission Module training for ship personnel, contractors, and instructors and help develop training curriculum.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any accredited engineering discipline).

Preferred Qualifications

  • ~1 year of Naval Engineering or related experience.
  • Active Secret-level U.S. Security Clearance (preferred).

Security & Background

  • Candidates must have or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for the clearance level required.
  • Background checks may include criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and credit checks as part of the clearance and hiring process.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $52,000 - $82,000 per year (listed per California pay-transparency requirements).
