What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to support the Modular Guns Weapons System (MGWS) Surface Warfare (SUW) Mission Package (MP) and Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) programs as part of the Mission Module (MM) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). This is a hands-on engineering role combining field work, systems integration, testing, documentation, and technical support.

• Perform engineering analysis, assessments, investigations, and evaluations for combat, weapon, network, and ancillary systems aboard the LCS platform and in lab environments.
• Support development, review, and update of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, and post-event reports.
• Develop, test, update, and validate hardware/software procedures, technical drawings, manuals, MRCs, CSOSS, C&L, and APL/AEL documents used by ISEA, Mission Package Support Facility (MPSF), production contractors, and shipboard personnel.
• Respond to Casualty Reports (CASREP), provide Fleet Tech Assist (FTA) support, and deliver Distance Support (DS).
• Perform aboard-ship and laboratory tasks to operate, maintain, or modernize systems and equipment.
• Provide test support for Developmental Test (DT), Operational Test (OT), and Combat Systems Ships Qualification and Test (CSSQT), including SUW Mission Modules.
• Support availability planning/execution and related ISEA functions for SUW MM.
• Participate in Working Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
• Develop/update Non-Permanent Changes (NPC), Deviations From Specification (DFS), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
• Support Reliability Engineering, DMSMS, FRACAS, and related sustainment activities.
• Conduct Mission Module training for ship personnel, contractors, and instructors and assist in developing training curriculum.

Location, Travel & Schedule

This position is based in Port Hueneme, CA. The role requires shipboard and laboratory travel; candidates must be able to work afloat and ashore as required by program tasking. Typical status is full-time, permanent with periodic travel and on-ship embark/debark events.

Compensation (Transparency for CA listings)

• Estimated salary: $73,155 per year (estimated). Exact compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications and in compliance with applicable state laws.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level U.S. Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• ~1 year of Naval Engineering or related experience.
• Active Secret-level U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience with LCS platforms, mission modules, or shipboard combat/weapon systems.
• Familiarity with technical documentation standards (CSOSS, MRCs, APL/AEL).
