What You’ll Do

As an Entry Level Civil Engineer supporting projects in the waste management space, you will work under the direction of project managers and senior staff. Day-to-day responsibilities include a mix of office and field work.

• Assist with preparing permit applications and technical reports
• Perform analyses for stormwater, landfill gas, and slope stability
• Support construction quality assurance (CQA) for landfill and waste processing sites
• Apply basic civil engineering analysis and design principles to office tasks
• Participate in field inspections and construction observation activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and take direction from senior staff
• Learn and apply project-specific procedures, standards, and safety practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field
• Previous internship or relevant hands-on experience preferred
• Engineering in Training (EIT) / Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and work effectively on a team
• Sufficient physical stamina to perform outdoor field work under various conditions
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Confidential Client in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience (or strong interest) in analysis, design, permitting, and CQA of waste disposal facilities
• Basic understanding of stormwater design, landfill gas systems, and slope stability concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality on project sites

Location & Logistics

• Work location: Monroeville, PA — role involves both office work in the Monroeville office and field assignments at project sites in the region
• Employment type: Contract / Full-time
• Local travel to project sites will be required as projects dictate
