What You’ll Do
- Participate in a 52-week structured Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP) giving broad exposure to plant operations across multiple product lines (air separation, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, helium, rare gases, and standard plants).
- Engage in hands-on operational activities including start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, project support, training, troubleshooting, and daily plant operations.
- Operate and monitor process equipment via control systems and in the field (motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation, and utilities such as electrical, water, steam, and instrument gas).
- Monitor efficiency and energy consumption, evaluate operating modes, and implement changes to improve plant performance.
- Support quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities; assist distribution and operations personnel as required.
- Execute projects consistent with budgets and schedules and collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operations teams.
- Receive mentored leadership development throughout the program and rotate across sites as assigned.
What Makes You Great
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BS) strongly preferred; GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships or cooperative education experience demonstrating technical capability are valued.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to build productive cross-functional relationships.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to apply analytical thinking to operational challenges.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for assigned plant sites and training; open to relocation as required by program assignments.

Role Details & Compensation
- Employment type: Full-time (with contractor assignment elements possible during program rotations).
- Location: East Chicago, IN (on-site work at plant locations; rotations may require travel).
- Program length: 52-week structured curriculum across operations and engineering functions.
- Travel: Up to 25% to assigned plant sites and training locations.
- Estimated pay (from source posting): $142,840 per year (estimated).
