What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Automated Vehicle Systems team is hiring an Entry-Level Engineer to support safety and application security integration for ADAS and autonomous vehicle systems (L4 scope). This individual-contributor role works closely with global systems, product owners, software engineering, component groups, and validation teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support definition and implementation of safety and security requirements within next‑generation vehicle architecture.
  • Partner with global systems, safety, and technical owners to translate product specifications into security and safety requirements.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, secure design discussions, and threat modeling sessions.
  • Identify security, integration, and reliability risks and recommend mitigations.
  • Support diagnostics, secure software updates, APIs, communication services, and secure platform infrastructure.
  • Assist with software integration, system‑level debugging, and cross‑functional technical problem solving.
  • Contribute to verification and issue resolution during development, validation, and vehicle launch.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science.

Work authorization:

  • Qualified candidates (excluding current employees) must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee). Confidential Client does not anticipate providing employment‑related sponsorship (e.g., H‑1B) for this role.

Desired Skills & Experience

Ideal candidates will demonstrate some combination of the following:

  • Software engineering or software architecture background
  • Application or product security experience
  • Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • DevSecOps, CI/CD, and software delivery pipeline knowledge
  • Experience with SAST/DAST and vulnerability testing
  • Software supply chain / dependency management awareness
  • Embedded systems development experience; Linux or Android familiarity a plus
  • Experience with API, service‑oriented or distributed system architectures
  • Experience with cloud‑connected products, IoT platforms, or automotive/safety‑critical systems
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe product development environments

Location & Travel

This position is located in Lisle, IL (Confidential Client’s design center). Occasional travel to test facilities, suppliers, and customer sites may be required.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: USD $70,400 — $105,600 per year. Final offer will be based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
