Role Summary
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Engineer to support construction project delivery across trade & construction projects. In this full-time role based in Glendale, CO, you will report to a project manager or superintendent and help coordinate on-site work, manage estimating and bidding support, track budgets and schedules, and document technical and personnel aspects of projects. Estimated annual pay (from source data): $109,466 per year (estimated).
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate work with owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors and trades on project sites
- Support estimating and bidding processes and track costs to help manage project budgets
- Identify and resolve field issues and change orders; assist with clarifying design questions
- Prepare contracts and purchase orders using company templates to document scopes, schedules, costs and change orders
- Participate in coordination and labor-management meetings
- Help ensure work meets quality standards and contract specifications
- Implement and monitor project schedules and milestones
- Document technical, financial and personnel aspects of each project phase
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals and change orders
- Provide field support to superintendents for contract compliance, quality control and site maintenance
- Set and enforce expectations for a safe work site
Training & Development
Confidential Client will provide on-the-job training to develop practical skills, including:
- Safety regulations, ANSI standards, local and state building codes and environmental codes
- Construction processes and jobsite best practices
- Mechanical/electrical systems, materials and building mechanics exposure
- Reading and interpreting technical specifications, blueprints and engineering/architectural drawings
- Scheduling fundamentals and use of scheduling software
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Construction Technology
- Knowledge of engineering principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred / helpful skills:
- Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with construction estimating, bidding and change order processes
- Proficiency with scheduling tools/software
- Understanding of construction safety standards and site practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
