What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Engineer to support transportation and infrastructure projects in Chicago, IL. In this role you will contribute to project delivery by supporting design tasks, producing plans, and learning industry-standard tools and workflows.
- Assist with plan production and design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers for transportation projects
- Support 3D modeling efforts from preliminary through final design
- Help develop specifications, reports, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and reviewers to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain project documentation and deliverables
- Complete assigned project tasks on time and within budget
- Learn and apply typical design software packages used on projects
What We’re Looking For
Candidates who can contribute immediately and grow into expanding engineering roles.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related engineering degree (BS expected by spring 2027 is acceptable)
- Design experience is a plus
- EIT / Engineering Intern certification, or plans to obtain prior to graduation
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer is a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn 3D modeling and other design software
Compensation & Benefits
We follow applicable pay-transparency requirements for this location.
- Anticipated base pay: $35–$40 per hour
