What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s Building Technology team applies engineering, physics, and materials science to building exteriors so structures perform reliably and resist water infiltration, while improving durability and energy efficiency. As an Associate Project Consultant (entry-level engineer) you will:

  • Assist licensed engineers with new design, building evaluation, investigations, and repair design for existing buildings
  • Perform field work that may include climbing ladders and scaffolds and working at heights
  • Travel by car to multiple job sites as required
  • Collect and analyze field data, prepare technical notes and drawings
  • Support preparation of reports, repair details, and client-facing documentation
  • Coordinate with project teams, contribute to technical discussions, and communicate findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Pursue hands-on learning and grow technical skills under tutelage of senior engineers

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 0–5 years of related experience; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in building construction, building envelopes, or related engineering problems
  • Willingness and ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and to perform site visits
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving orientation with attention to detail and good judgment
  • Collaborative mindset and demonstrated initiative
  • Helpful but not required: experience with AutoCAD, Revit, industrial rope access/rock climbing, or mechanical repair

Compensation & Benefits

This position is covered by pay transparency requirements for the state of California. The following good-faith salary ranges are effective for 2026 and depend on highest degree attained:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: $79,560 - $81,640 per year
  • Master’s Degree: $83,200 - $85,280 per year

  • Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus
