The Entry Level Energy Consultant at Confidential Client supports the analysis and evaluation of utility-scale renewable energy and power projects, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders for project development, design, construction, operation, and financing. Responsibilities
This entry-level role supports technical and commercial analysis for power and renewable energy projects. You will work with multi-discipline teams to produce actionable conclusions and recommendations used to develop, design, construct, operate, and finance energy projects in the U.S. and internationally. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze utility-scale renewable and power projects (solar, wind, battery energy storage, thermal, transmission/substation).
- Evaluate projects to support financing and due diligence.
- Model economic, technical, and market scenarios for grid operators, utilities, and research organizations.
- Develop planning studies, business cases, and conceptual designs for utilities, power producers, and government agencies.
- Prepare clear technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
Qualifications
Confidential client does not sponsor work authorization for this position. Applicants must meet the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or civil/structural engineering.
- Master’s degree (engineering or business/MBA) is a plus but not required.
- Relevant coursework or practical experience in at least one of:
- Technical report writing
- Multi-discipline teamwork (design projects, co-ops)
- Data analysis and visualization
- Project finance or business acumen
- Conceptual project design
- Construction project management / scheduling software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and guide others.
- Demonstrated planning, leadership, organizational skills, and sound judgment.

Compensation Range
- $62,998 - $90,586 base annual salary (posted range). Total compensation may include discretionary bonus opportunities and benefits.
