What You’ll Do
As an Entry Level Electrical Engineer for our confidential client you will support electrical design and construction projects across commercial and industrial facilities. Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform electrical design and analysis for building and facility systems (power distribution, lighting, fire & life safety, low-voltage).
- Produce construction documents including single-line diagrams, power plans, lighting plans, installation details, cable schedules, connection diagrams, and electric room layouts.
- Prepare control panel layouts, grounding plans, and breaker coordination studies.
- Support Arc Flash and short-circuit current studies and related documentation.
- Assist senior engineers with equipment selection, specifications, and design review.
- Conduct local on-site field investigations and construction reviews (typically within the San Antonio & Austin area).
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and participate in constructability and coordination meetings.
- Contribute to project deliverables while learning project leadership and technical responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Entry-level candidate with coursework or project experience in power systems, lighting, and electrical distribution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability; eager to learn and broaden technical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Academic or internship experience producing single-line diagrams, breaker coordination studies, or Arc Flash calculations.
- Field experience or familiarity with construction review and on-site investigative procedures.
- Experience working with multi-discipline engineering teams on building systems.
Location, Employment Type & Compensation
- Location: Tarrytown, TX (local travel within San Antonio & Austin areas may be required).
- Employment type: Full-time.
- Estimated compensation: $62,301 per year (estimate provided by source; actual pay may vary based on experience and location).
