Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join their Manhattan, NY engineering team. This role supports electrical system design for built-environment projects — including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems — across K‑12, higher education, healthcare, institutional, and commercial markets. This is a full-time, entry-level position with a competitive salary range and benefits.
What You’ll Do
- Support design of electrical systems including lighting, power, and life-safety for new facilities, renovations, and modernization projects
- Conduct load calculations for equipment replacement, upgrades, and system sizing
- Support load sizing and service requirements for beneficial electrification projects
- Review design documentation, perform field surveys to document existing conditions, and assist with construction administration
- Coordinate electrical design activities with other disciplines and project stakeholders
- Participate in technical problem-solving and contribute to project deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 0–2 years of design experience (entry-level)
- Interest in electrical engineering for the built environment (K‑12, higher education, healthcare, commercial)
- Basic proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Organized, able to plan, balance, and prioritize workloads independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn from mentors
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $70,000–$85,000 USD per year (actual pay determined by skills, experience, and qualifications)
