What You’ll Do
As an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer with our confidential client, you will join project teams and learn by doing while contributing to meaningful engineering work. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assist with the design of building electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, and related systems)
- Perform engineering calculations and select equipment
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
- Develop cost estimates and supporting engineering documentation
- Learn and apply building and electrical codes, engineering standards, and design criteria
- Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, technology, and other disciplines
- Participate in project meetings and interact with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants
- Assist with construction administration and site coordination to understand how projects are built
- Manage tasks across multiple projects and building types simultaneously
- Build technical knowledge and professional experience toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate technical foundation, communication skills, and a commitment to learning:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (from an accredited program)
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer Intern (EIT) preferred (if completed, please note on your application)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, clients, and code officials
- Strong work ethic, initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or similar engineering/design software is a plus
- Interest in pursuing PE licensure and a long-term consulting engineering career
