What You’ll Do

This entry-level Electrical Design Engineer role supports electrical design and sustaining engineering for industrial products and equipment with close ties to manufacturing. You will work across the product lifecycle—design through production—gaining hands-on exposure to industrial power generation and rotating equipment.

• Support electrical design and engineering activities for industrial products and equipment
• Assist sustaining engineering and continuous-improvement efforts for existing products
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and production teams to enable efficient operations
• Support electrical testing, analysis, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, engineering calculations, and design change records
• Use custom engineering tools and Excel-based calculation programs for design and analysis
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve technical challenges
• Respond to customer inquiries about product performance, technical requirements, and applications
• Apply relevant industry standards and specifications (e.g., IEEE, NEMA) to ensure compliance and quality
• Contribute to product development and improvement initiatives with technical input and ideas

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 0–3 years of engineering experience; relevant co-op or internship experience is a plus
• Foundational knowledge of electrical design and engineering principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively on cross-functional teams
• Ability to support electrical testing, analysis, and troubleshooting activities

Preferred / Useful Experience

• Internship, co-op, or project experience within manufacturing, industrial systems, controls, power systems, or electrical equipment
• Exposure to motors, generators, rotating equipment, or industrial electrical systems
• Familiarity with electrical testing tools/methods and IEEE/NEMA standards
• Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
• Interest in industrial power generation and a desire to develop a long-term technical career

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $73,000 – $75,000 per year (actual offer depends on qualifications, experience, and other factors)
