Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Computer & Electrical Engineer to join a mission-driven engineering team developing, testing, and supporting embedded control systems for safety-critical applications. This full-time role is located in West Mifflin, PA. The position offers a competitive salary range of $63,900–$97,800 per year and a comprehensive benefits package.


What You’ll Do

You will work on interdisciplinary teams to design, implement, and test real-time embedded systems that support critical control and instrumentation functions.

  • Support development, integration, and testing of embedded hardware and software for control systems
  • Implement and debug firmware and low-level software for real-time targets
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and verification activities
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to resolve technical issues
  • Execute and document test plans; contribute to continuous improvement of development processes
  • Follow established engineering, safety, and quality procedures for classified and unclassified work

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to successfully complete a Federal background investigation and meet eligibility for access to classified matter
  • Willingness to comply with federal contractor drug-testing requirements (including tests for marijuana)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPA of 3.2 or above
  • Academic project, internship, or co-op experience in hardware, embedded software, or systems development
  • Experience or coursework in embedded systems, real-time operating systems, firmware development, or digital/analog hardware
  • Familiarity with safety-critical system development and verification processes
