Responsibilities

You will support the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical distribution systems under the direction of senior engineers.

  • Assist in the design and layout of overhead and underground power distribution systems.
  • Perform load calculations, voltage-drop analysis, and equipment sizing.
  • Support preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Use AutoCAD, GIS, and power system analysis tools to create and review designs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and utility representatives.
  • Conduct site visits to collect data and support construction activities.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, industry standards, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work on-site as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or similar design/CAD software is a plus.
  • Exposure to power system analysis software is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise in power distribution.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Contract-to-hire role.
  • Pay range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour (actual offer depends on experience and qualifications).
