Overview

This posting is for an Entry‑Level Deputy Project Manager position supporting engineering projects, based in Elkins Park, PA (hybrid). The opportunity includes participation in an invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 7–8, 2026. The role is offered by a confidential client and is suited for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to develop technical and project-management skills across transportation, water, buildings, environment, energy, and PPM (program & project management).


What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Project Managers to support a variety of regional projects and programs.
  • Monitor project performance and report on how individual projects contribute to business outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and client-facing presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Apply standard engineering and project-management techniques to build technical skills and professional judgment.
  • Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and other deliverables under supervision.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and analytical tools to support project operations.
  • Collect data and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts for project and program financial metrics.
  • Conduct research, perform analysis, and present recommendations based on findings.
  • Coordinate with multiple business lines and corporate teams for management reporting.
  • Assist with cost control, schedule tracking, and other core project-management functions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Preferred:
    • Relevant internship or professional experience is a plus.
    • Familiarity with industry tools such as Oracle/Primavera P6, Revit, etc.
    • Exposure to business intelligence and Microsoft 365 tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint).
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable working under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; eagerness to learn and ask questions.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver with urgency when required.
  • Note: This role requires working with both technical and administrative personnel across levels.

Compensation & Work Model

  • Compensation: USD 75,000 – USD 82,000 per year.
  • Employment Type: Full‑time (with contract engagement possibilities per project needs).
  • Work Model: Hybrid, based in Elkins Park, PA (primary location). Some in‑office attendance required.
  • Hiring event: Confidential client is hosting an invitation-only hiring event in Philadelphia on October 7–8, 2026 (networking mixer and on-site interviews for selected candidates).
