What You’ll Do

This entry-level role blends data science/analytics work with exposure to Java full-stack development. You will learn on the job, contribute to real projects, and collaborate with engineering and product teams.

• Support data collection, cleaning, and exploratory analysis to answer business questions
• Build basic predictive models and visualizations to communicate results
• Contribute to backend or frontend Java-based features as assigned (pairing with senior developers)
• Work with Python or Java tools for data processing and prototyping
• Help deploy and verify small components as part of a full-stack workflow (testing, documentation)
• Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders; incorporate feedback
• Follow mentor guidance, complete assigned upskilling tasks and project work

This role is designed for recent graduates, career changers, and candidates with limited professional experience who are motivated to upskill and build a job-ready portfolio.

• Recent grads or candidates with CS, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related backgrounds

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent coursework) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related field
• Familiarity with at least one programming language used in data work (Python or Java)
• Basic understanding of data analysis concepts and the scientific method
• Willingness to learn full-stack development concepts (Java-based stacks) and DevOps fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving ability and effective verbal/written communication
• Desire to build projects, complete practical exercises, and iterate with feedback

Nice-to-Have (but not required)

• Coursework or projects in machine learning, data analysis, or web development
• Experience with version control (Git) or cloud-hosted sample projects
• Any small-scale project demonstrating data cleaning, visualization, or a Java web component

Compensation & Employment Details

• Employment type: Full time
• Location: Newport Beach, CA (on-site or hybrid as determined by the client)
• Salary range (provided to comply with pay-transparency rules): $82,000 - $136,000 per year
• Benefits: Benefits and exact package vary by client and will be shared during the hiring process
