Overview

We are working with a confidential client looking for an Entry Level Data Scientist based in Manchester, NH. This is a hands-on, client-facing entry role within the IT services / data science space that supports candidates with training and visa assistance where applicable.

What You’ll Do

• Support data science and machine learning projects — collect, clean, and analyze data to deliver actionable insights.
• Build and validate models using statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist with data pipeline tasks and collaborate with engineering teams on model deployment (APIs, containers).
• Contribute to project documentation, reproducible analyses, and code reviews.
• Participate in skill-enhancement and client-facing project assignments as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Project experience (academic, internship, or professional) demonstrating applied data analysis or software development.
• Programming experience with Python and familiarity with statistics or SAS.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and basic coding practices; experience with Java, JavaScript, or C++ is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain technical results to clients.
• Motivated, proactive, and willing to learn new tools and techniques.

Technical Skills (required / preferred)

• Required:
  • Python, statistics, and data visualization tools
  • Basic familiarity with model development and evaluation
  • Experience with project-based work (hands-on assignments)
• Preferred:
  • SAS, computer vision, NLP, text mining
  • Tableau or Power BI, time series analysis
  • Containerization (Docker), CI/CD (Jenkins), REST APIs, Spring Boot / microservices
  • Experience or interest in productionizing models and working in client environments
