Overview

Confidential Client is seeking motivated entry-level Data Scientists to join an IT services and technology-staffing team supporting enterprise clients. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career candidates who want hands-on exposure to data analysis, machine learning, and analytics tools while working on real-world projects.


What You’ll Do

Confidential Client hires Data Scientists to support analytics, modeling, and data-driven decision-making across client engagements. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Collect, clean, and pre-process structured and unstructured data for analysis
  • Build and validate statistical and machine learning models
  • Prepare data visualizations and dashboards to communicate results
  • Apply basic NLP or text-mining techniques when needed
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models (APIs/microservices)
  • Write clear documentation and present findings to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated programming experience in Python (required) and familiarity with software development basics
  • Understanding of fundamental statistics and data analysis techniques
  • Experience with data visualization tools or libraries (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn, Tableau)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, curious, and a continuous learner

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

These skills will help you stand out during the selection process:

  • Experience with NLP or text-mining techniques
  • Exposure to time series analysis
  • Familiarity with Java or core software engineering concepts
  • Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
  • Knowledge of microservices or REST APIs (helpful for productionizing models)

Location & Compensation

  • Location: Highland Park / Dallas area, TX (local candidates preferred)
  • Estimated compensation (per source): $68,348 per year — exact pay offered by Confidential Client may vary based on experience and role level
