Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry level Data Analyst to help collect, process, and analyze business data to deliver actionable insights. This is an early-career, full-time role for candidates comfortable working with SQL and Python, building simple ETL/data pipelines, creating dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, and communicating results to cross-functional partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and optimize basic ETL workflows and data pipelines to consolidate business data for analysis.
  • Query and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python (pandas, numpy) to surface trends and KPIs.
  • Create clear, interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Develop simple predictive models and forecasting reports to support planning and operations.
  • Automate routine reporting tasks to reduce manual effort and improve delivery cadence.
  • Validate data quality and maintain monitoring checks to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform root-cause analyses to investigate performance and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven recommendations.
  • Document data processes, transformation logic, and reporting artifacts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and joining large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and basic analysis (pandas, numpy).
  • Experience creating dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Understanding of ETL concepts and basic data pipeline design.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

  • Prior internship or project experience in a data or analytics role.
  • Knowledge of basic statistical methods and simple predictive modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation (Airflow, cron, or scripting).
  • Experience working with cloud data stores (AWS, Azure, BigQuery) or modern data stacks.
