The Entry Level C# Software Engineer at Confidential Client is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software tools that enhance the Navy's F/A-18 aircraft maintenance and anomaly detection capabilities. This role involves full stack development, collaboration within Agile teams, and deployment support at NAVAIR Oceana, directly contributing to fleet readiness and operational safety.

What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level C# software engineering role supporting aircraft maintenance detection and reporting tools. You will design, build, test, and deploy full-stack solutions that directly improve fleet readiness.
- Design and develop full‑stack applications that detect and report aircraft maintenance issues.
- Build responsive front‑end interfaces and integrate them with back‑end services and APIs.
- Implement robust backend services in C#/.NET to process and manage large datasets.
- Contribute Python scripts or tools where needed for data processing or automation.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and collaborate with cross‑functional teammates.
- Perform unit/integration testing, debugging, and performance tuning to deliver stable, maintainable code.
- Deploy, troubleshoot, and support software during on‑site visits to NAVAIR Oceana as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with C# and .NET; exposure to Python.
- 0–3 years professional experience (entry level to early career).
- Must reside within the greater Virginia Beach area and be able to travel locally (up to ~10%) to support deployments.
- Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and clear verbal/written communication.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desired
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux environments.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent security knowledge.
Location & Clearance
- Work location: Virginia Beach, VA (candidate should reside in the greater Virginia Beach area).
- Travel: Local travel to NAVAIR Oceana for deployments/troubleshooting (up to ~10%).
- Clearance: Minimum Secret clearance required to start (preferred if already active).
Compensation & Benefits
The confidential client offers competitive compensation and benefits. The posted salary range for this position is:
- $58,000 - $115,900 per year
