Position Summary

This is an entry-level Contract QA Analyst role focused on cost support and data validation for merchandising and retail systems. The role is based in Irving, NY and requires strong Excel and Power BI skills, attention to detail, and experience (or interest) in data migration, system integration, and QA testing.


What You’ll Do

  • Review and analyze merchandising, item, supplier, and warehouse data to ensure accurate conversion and alignment with business requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation scripts to identify data discrepancies, mapping issues, and configuration errors.
  • Validate item assortment, pricing, vendor relationships, warehouse servicing assignments, and category data across impacted systems.
  • Perform data validation and integrity checks to ensure accurate data movement between source and target systems.
  • Document, track, and prioritize defects; work with project leads and business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Monitor transition readiness by performing pre- and post-conversion audits to identify risks and ensure operational continuity.
  • Create and maintain testing documentation, validation reports, and project status updates.
  • Assist with root-cause analysis of data and system issues that may impact merchandising operations, inventory flow, or store execution.
  • Collaborate with merchandising, supply chain, business, and project teams to understand requirements and support issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level (recent graduates and early-career candidates encouraged).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Proven or demonstrable experience as a QA Analyst or similar role is a plus—retail/store environment experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of database management, data integration, and QA methodologies.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI for data validation and reporting.
  • Experience with data migration and system integration projects preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Knowledge of retail systems and store operations is a plus.

Pay & Benefits
