What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Controls Engineer to join project teams delivering automation and control system solutions for manufacturing customers. You will receive on-the-job training and work alongside experienced automation engineers.
- Participate in design, development, and documentation of control systems that meet customer requirements
- Support programming, configuration, and testing of PLCs, HMIs, and related control hardware/software
- Travel to customer sites to install, commission, and test project deliverables
- Communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal project teams (office and on-site)
- Work with Project Managers and Lead Engineers to assess project status and execute work plans
- Assist with system troubleshooting and post-installation support during early lifecycle stages
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an early-career engineer with strong programming fundamentals, a cooperative attitude, and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Bioengineering, Industrial, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Solid understanding of programming concepts and logic
- Proficient with business applications (MS Office)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Positive, professional demeanor and ability to work both independently and in teams
- Flexible, cooperative working style; willing to work occasional off-hours as project needs dictate
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites
- Willing to submit to drug testing and background checks when required by employer or customer contracts
Preferred Qualifications
- General understanding of process control or manufacturing processes
- Exposure to or coursework/experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, DCS, and MES technologies
- Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and leadership potential

Location & Travel
- This position is based in Norristown, PA. Frequent travel to customer sites in the region will be required.
