Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Compliance Technician based in Oak Grove, GA. This is a telecommute-capable field role with regular local and overnight travel to client sites in Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina. The position offers $23.00–$27.00 per hour (plus potential overtime), paid time off, benefits, and opportunities for advancement in environmental compliance and emissions testing.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct routine OVA and Method 21 LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) inspections at industrial facilities.
- Perform SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure) inspections and inventories.
- Collect stormwater samples when required.
- Prepare clear, client-ready reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Create presentations and update facility schematics using PowerPoint and Visio.
- Participate in peer review and coordinate communications with team members and clients.
- Maintain familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements and incorporate safety in all work.
- Support special projects and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree in environmental science preferred.
- Previous LDAR, SPCC, or emissions testing experience preferred; auditing experience a plus.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Visio preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, good written and verbal communication skills, and professional demeanor.
- Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain TWIC card may be required for some sites.
- Able to work safely in industrial environments and follow required safety procedures.
Working Conditions & Travel
- This role may require travel up to 50% (local day travel and some overnight stays). Weekend travel may be required for remote projects.
- Work may occur at industrial sites with exposure to heights, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, noise, and other industrial hazards.
- Position involves regular physical activity: walking, standing, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $23.00–$27.00 per hour, with potential overtime.
