What You’ll Do

• Research, design, develop, integrate, and test cloud software solutions across the full software development lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain scalable data storage solutions using open-source NoSQL technologies such as HBase, Accumulo, and Bigtable.
• Develop and maintain production code in Java, C, and C++ for distributed, high-performance computational systems.
• Create, execute, and maintain software test plans, test scripts, and validation procedures.
• Perform requirements analysis, diagnose software issues, and implement performance enhancements and maintenance fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable cloud services.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph required — candidates without an active clearance will not be considered.
• Technical bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience (entry-level to early-career).
• Hands-on experience with Java and familiarity with C or C++.
• Experience or exposure to distributed NoSQL datastores (HBase, Accumulo, Bigtable or similar).
• Familiarity with software testing, integration, and validation processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• U.S. work authorization as required for cleared positions.

Compensation & Location

• Total compensation: $197,000+ per year (tentative; listed by source).
• Employment type: Full-time.
• Location: Savage, MD (must be able to work where the client requires; cleared candidates preferred local or able to access client facilities).
• You will be employed directly by Confidential Client (via Careertakes).

Security Clearance Requirement

• Candidates must currently hold an active Top Secret / SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph to be considered. This is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
