What You’ll Do
We are seeking an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join the Industrial Commercial Energy team in Pittsburgh, PA. You will support planning, design, permitting, and construction activities for water and civil infrastructure projects while learning from experienced engineers.
- Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on water utility and ancillary civil projects (collection systems, pump stations, wastewater treatment, reclaimed water, water treatment, distribution).
- Prepare engineering calculations, analysis of alternatives, and design reports.
- Produce construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit.
- Review plans and specifications and assist with permit submittals.
- Prepare preliminary cost estimates, evaluate quantities, and monitor task budgets.
- Document design changes, prepare project status reports, and assist with proposals.
- Conduct site inspections and attend client, public, and internal project meetings.
- Support Project Managers and maintain excellent client relations and a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 0–3 years of related experience.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or Revit preferred.
- EIT certification is preferred (or working toward).
- Strong technical writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to manage time and priorities in a hybrid environment.
Location & Schedule
- Location: Pittsburgh, PA (work will be performed primarily out of the Pittsburgh office).
- Flexible hybrid-remote schedule available after 30 days of employment (office attendance expectations will be provided by the hiring manager).
