Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting commercial, residential, and government land‑development projects in Tampa Palms, FL. This is an entry-to-associate level, full-time role with a salary range of $65,000–$100,000 per year.


Key Responsibilities

  • Works on civil and site land‑development projects with a multi‑disciplinary team of engineers and planners.
  • Assess project feasibility and site conditions to confirm development viability.
  • Prepare design plans, supporting calculations, and technical reports for assigned projects.
  • Perform calculations for grading, drainage, stormwater control, water quality, domestic water distribution, and underground utilities.
  • Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for residential and commercial projects.
  • Coordinate activities with other disciplines, internal teams, and external consultants.
  • Participate actively in design and production meetings.
  • Interact with contractors, fabricators, owners, and clients to develop project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Drive coordination and produce designs necessary to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land‑development and utility construction.
  • Ensure plans meet zoning and municipal regulations; resolve design and construction conflicts in the field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering preferred).
  • Proactive, enthusiastic self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under rigid deadlines.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.
