Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry‑Level Civil Engineer (Site Design) to join their Site Design team in Springfield, MO. This hands-on role supports project design through CAD drafting, assists senior engineers with calculations and schedules, prepares technical documentation, and may include field visits to project sites. This is a great opportunity to grow technical skills, work on land development projects, and receive mentoring from experienced engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with project design elements using standard engineering techniques and methods
- Produce entry-level plans and CAD drawings with clear guidance
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design/modeling software to develop deliverables
- Support senior staff with project schedules, basic technical calculations, and plan production
- Gather research and prepare portions of technical reports
- Contribute to portions of broader projects under direct supervision
- Provide routine mentoring or guidance to student interns when needed
- Travel to project sites for observation and work in varied site and weather conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Prior internship or coursework in land development / site design preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar CAD/design tools
- Must possess or be able to obtain EI/EIT certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively on project teams and take ownership of assigned tasks
