What You’ll Do

This entry-level role supports roadway and rail design and project delivery for our confidential client’s Engineering practice. You will work on assigned projects in the San Francisco Bay Area (with a focus in Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties), perform field visits, and collaborate with project teams in-office and on-site.

• Complete assigned work within scheduled hours and deadlines
• Support preparation and revision of project reports, plans, designs, and engineering calculations
• Assist with project quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Provide organization and administrative support for design files and project documentation
• Conduct research, data collection, and field investigations to support design and development tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned by project leads

What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Ability to work in-person at the San Jose office or assigned field office (local travel required)
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship is not available for this position)

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Tools)

• Understanding of basic civil and transportation engineering principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with design and drafting tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and GIS (preferred)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Practical experience or coursework using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD

Compensation & Benefits

The approximate pay range for this role in the California San Francisco Bay Area is $83,008.49 - $124,512.74 per year. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, and exact work location. Benefits information will be provided by the confidential client during the hiring process.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Work location: San Jose, CA — in-office or assigned field office (this is not a remote role)
• Local travel to project sites in the San Francisco Bay Area is expected
