What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks motivated early-career civil engineers to support planning, design, and permitting for land development and infrastructure projects. This is an entry-level, full-time role focused on hands-on site/civil design work and collaboration across project teams.
- Assist with planning, design, and permitting for civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects
- Prepare and modify engineering documents: reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design drawings
- Use design software and tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) to develop and revise plans
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, test and aerial photographs to evaluate soil, terrain, hydrology, topography, and geologic data
- Support site planning tasks including grading, stormwater management, drainage, and erosion control
- Recommend process improvements and contribute ideas that increase efficiency and quality
- Apply engineering fundamentals and advanced mathematics to project tasks
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet project needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience (internships and co-ops count)
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
- EIT certification or current registration for the FE exam preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D; familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Prior internship or project experience in site/civil design (site planning, grading, stormwater, drainage, soil erosion)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, multitasking, and sound judgment
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Availability for a standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evenings/weekends as project demands require
- Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments
Compensation & Benefits
Estimated pay: $74,943 per year (estimated).

Location & Travel
This position is based in Salt Lake City, UT. Occasional travel to project sites or other offices may be required depending on assignment.
