What You’ll Do
This Contract-to-Hire, entry-level Civil Engineer role supports civil engineering design and plan production for site development, infrastructure, and roadway projects. You’ll work primarily at a desk using CAD tools, coordinate with project teams, and help produce high-quality construction documents while learning practical design skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare civil engineering design plans and construction documents using AutoCAD.
- Assist with site development tasks including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
- Support drafting, calculations, data organization, and plan revisions for project teams.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and clients to deliver project documents on schedule.
- Review project requirements, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance.
- Participate in quality-control reviews and maintain accurate project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- 6 months to 1 year of civil engineering experience (employment, internships, or co‑ops acceptable).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with site development, stormwater/drainage, and roadway design best practices.
- Basic field experience or familiarity with surveying deliverables.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire).
