What You’ll Do

This Contract-to-Hire, entry-level Civil Engineer role supports civil engineering design and plan production for site development, infrastructure, and roadway projects. You’ll work primarily at a desk using CAD tools, coordinate with project teams, and help produce high-quality construction documents while learning practical design skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering design plans and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Assist with site development tasks including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
• Support drafting, calculations, data organization, and plan revisions for project teams.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and clients to deliver project documents on schedule.
• Review project requirements, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Participate in quality-control reviews and maintain accurate project documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• 6 months to 1 year of civil engineering experience (employment, internships, or co‑ops acceptable).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with site development, stormwater/drainage, and roadway design best practices.
• Basic field experience or familiarity with surveying deliverables.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34.00 – $48.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire).
