Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Civil Design Engineer to support roadway geometrics, grading, and drainage design for public and private projects. This is a hands-on, 100% design-focused, onsite role based in Ny State Campus, NY. You will work with project managers and senior engineers to prepare plans and technical documents using AutoCAD and related tools, and gain experience in stormwater and utility layouts.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil design tasks focused on roadway geometrics, grading, and drainage systems
- Prepare plans, drawings, and technical documents using AutoCAD
- Assist with site design, utility layouts, and stormwater management plans
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers on design development
- Coordinate with clients, municipalities, and permitting agencies as needed
- Support both private development and municipal infrastructure projects
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 1 year of civil design experience (site development, grading, drainage)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Understanding of roadway design, grading, and drainage fundamentals
- EIT certification (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a team setting
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Civil 3D knowledge is advantageous but not required — training can be provided
- Willingness to learn additional certifications and technical skills
- Interest in public-sector permitting and municipal coordination is a plus
Work Environment & Schedule
- Fully onsite position in Ny State Campus, NY
- Typical schedule: 9:00 AM — 5:00 PM

Pay & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 — $100,000 per year
- Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors
