What You’ll Do

We are helping a Confidential Client hire an Entry Level Civil Engineer in Manhattan, NY. This is an early-career, full-time role focused on site/civil design and technical support for commercial, residential, mixed‑use, industrial, and infrastructure projects. You’ll work alongside senior engineers and multi-disciplinary teams to produce design deliverables and site assessments.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and revision of engineering documents: design plans, specifications, reports, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Support site/civil design tasks including site planning, grading, drainage, utility layout, stormwater management, and erosion control.
  • Use record documents, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial imagery to assess hydrology, topography, soils, and site constraints.
  • Produce CAD/Civil 3D drawings and support BIM or drafting workflows as needed.
  • Participate in design reviews, coordinate with internal teams, and support permitting and construction-phase tasks when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 0–1 years of relevant experience (entry-level).
  • FE/EIT certification preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple small tasks.
  • Reliable transportation to visit project sites on occasion; valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Comfortable taking direction and collaborating in a team environment.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: $75,000 — $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
    • Salary transparency: this role is posted with a salary range consistent with applicable New York pay-transparency expectations.
