Position Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to join its Civil / Transportation team in Manhattan, NY. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or engineer with up to 2 years of experience who wants hands-on exposure to transportation design, drainage and stormwater systems, traffic protection plans, and development of contract plans.
What You’ll Do
Confidential Client’s transportation group works on a range of public- and private-sector projects. As an Entry Level Civil Engineer you will:
- Work on design tasks for horizontal and vertical alignments
- Assist with drainage and stormwater management design
- Support erosion and sediment control planning
- Help prepare maintenance and protection of traffic schemes
- Produce contract plans and construction documents
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and apply the latest engineering tools and standards
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (emphasis in Transportation preferred)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Desire to work in a team-oriented environment
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) passed or in-progress is preferred
Preferred Skills & Tools
- InRoads or Civil 3D experience (plus)
- Experience on transportation or municipal projects
- Demonstrated ability to learn design standards and project delivery processes
Compensation & Additional Details
- Projected salary range: $84,000 - $86,500 annually (depends on skills, experience, location, and market conditions)
- Employment type: Full-time
- Location: Manhattan, NY (on-site expected)
