What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an early-career civil engineer to support planning, site/civil design, and permitting for land development and infrastructure projects. In this role you will gain hands-on experience across mixed-use, residential, retail, higher-education, federal, and other site-development projects while working with experienced engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, design, and permitting for civil engineering and land development projects.
- Prepare and update engineering documents: design plans, specifications, reports, construction schedules, and cost estimates.
- Use engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) to produce and revise drawings and plans.
- Analyze reports, maps, test data, aerial photos, and topographical information to inform site design and drainage solutions.
- Support stormwater management, grading, drainage, and soil erosion control design tasks.
- Recommend process or design improvements to increase team efficiency and project quality.
- Collaborate with project teams, support senior engineers, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0–2 years of related experience (internships and co-ops count).
- Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
- EIT certification or current FE exam registration preferred.
- Hands-on exposure to site/civil design: site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and erosion control.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and familiarity with Civil 3D preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, multitasking, and sound judgment.
- Able to work independently and in teams; available Monday–Friday with occasional evenings/weekends.
- Travel as required by projects (varies by assignment).
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $68,250—$88,750 USD (annual). This range is provided to comply with applicable pay transparency requirements and may vary based on experience, location, and qualifications.
