What You’ll Do

This is an onsite Entry Level CAD Designer / Engineering Designer role supporting power and electrical distribution projects in Raleigh, NC. You will work with engineering teams to produce CAD deliverables for work orders, follow client-specific drafting standards, and support project documentation.

• Create and update CAD drawings and schematics for power / electrical distribution projects
• Interpret engineering notes, field data, and existing drawings to produce accurate deliverables
• Apply client-specific CAD standards and templates (training provided)
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and field staff to clarify scope and resolve issues
• Maintain organized drawing files and revision control
• Assist with basic quantity takeoffs and documentation as requested

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field (examples: Engineering Technology, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Geography, Construction Management)
• Able to work onsite in Raleigh, NC (role is not remote)
• Strong customer service and communication skills; ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Willingness to learn client-specific CAD software and standards (full training provided)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience or coursework in utilities, electrical, or power distribution
• Familiarity with standard CAD tools and drafting practices
• Internship, co-op, or practical exposure to engineering projects
