What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level C# Software Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain tools that improve aircraft maintenance detection and anomaly analysis. You will work on software that directly supports Navy F/A-18 fleet readiness and may deploy and troubleshoot systems at NAVAIR Oceana.
- Design and develop full‑stack applications for aircraft maintenance detection and reporting.
- Build backend services and APIs using C#/.NET to manage and process large datasets.
- Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end interfaces and integrate them with backend systems.
- Collaborate in a cross‑functional Agile team: attend stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following team standards and best practices.
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing; debug and resolve defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Support software deployment and on-site troubleshooting (travel to NAVAIR Oceana required as needed).
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with C# and .NET; familiarity with Python.
- 0–3 years of professional experience (entry‑level candidates encouraged).
- Must reside within the greater Virginia Beach, VA area (onsite presence and local travel expected).
- U.S. citizenship required; able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Desired
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, and Linux environments.
- CompTIA Security+ or comparable security certification.
- Exposure to full‑stack development, RESTful APIs, and Agile workflows.

- Salary range (posted by confidential client): $58,000–$115,900 (USD, annual). Actual compensation considers experience, skills, location, and contract rates.
