Summary

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Business Analyst to join their IT team. This is an early-career position ideal for recent graduates or candidates with internships, academic projects, or coursework in business analysis, data analytics, or information systems. Estimated pay: $69,757 per year (estimated).


What You’ll Do

You will support business and technical teams to clarify requirements, document processes, and help deliver data-driven solutions.

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), process flows, and other documentation
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting using Excel and SQL
  • Participate in requirement-gathering meetings and project discussions
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other testing efforts
  • Track requirements, issues, and project deliverables
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Maintain project documentation and provide status updates

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and project phases
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering and business process analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project-management tools
  • Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience creating process flow diagrams (Visio, Lucidchart)
  • Familiarity with visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
