What You’ll Do
As an Entry-Level Business Analyst based in Manhattan, NY, you will support business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and reports. This role is a great opportunity to build hands-on experience with data analysis, documentation, and cross-functional project work.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying business problems and opportunities for process improvement.
- Create and maintain BRDs, functional requirements, process flows, and user stories.
- Analyze business data using Microsoft Excel and basic SQL queries.
- Support development of reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and project managers.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate that solutions meet business requirements.
- Track requirements, issues, action items, and project deliverables.
- Prepare clear reports and stakeholder presentations.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of business analysis and requirement-gathering techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Basic SQL knowledge for querying and analyzing data.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
- Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to produce clear documentation (user stories, BRDs, process flows).
Preferred / Helpful Skills
- Experience or coursework in Power BI or Tableau.
- Hands-on exposure to UAT, test case documentation, or SDLC concepts.
- Internships, academic projects, or early-career experience in business/data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience. Entry-level candidates with internships, certifications, or strong academic projects are encouraged to apply.

- Estimated annual salary: $63,193 (per year — estimated). Actual pay may vary based on experience and location.
