Overview
Entry-level Building Technology Engineer — Houston, TX. Our confidential client seeks a motivated recent graduate or early-career engineer to join their Building Technology team as an Associate Project Consultant. This is a full-time, on-site role that combines fieldwork (including working at heights) and office-based technical work supporting building-envelope evaluation, design, and repair.
What You’ll Do
As an Associate Project Consultant on the Building Technology team, you will:
- Assist licensed engineers with evaluation, investigation, and design of repairs for existing buildings.
- Support new design and building-envelope consulting projects focused on durability, energy efficiency, and water intrusion resistance.
- Perform field work including inspections on ladders and scaffolds and travel to job sites by car.
- Contribute to technical reports, drawings, and specifications under supervision.
- Learn and apply materials science, building physics, and codes in real projects.
- Communicate findings clearly to internal teams and external clients.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 0–5 years of relevant experience; EIT preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in building construction, building envelopes, or structural/architectural problem solving.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and safely work at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter mindset, accountability, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn — teachable attitude and commitment to lifelong professional development.
Preferred (nice-to-have) skills and experience:
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
- Background in building construction, mechanical repair, or allied trades.
- Industrial rope access, rock-climbing, or other experience that supports safe fieldwork at heights.

Compensation & Other Details
- Employment type: FULL_TIME
- Salary range (good-faith estimate, based on degree level and applicable pay transparency rules):
- Bachelor’s Degree: $79,560 - $81,640 per year
- Master’s Degree: $83,200 - $85,280 per year
- Posted consolidated range reflected: $79,560 — $85,280 per year
- This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- Final salary will depend on experience, qualifications, and work location.
