What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry‑Level Bridge Engineer to join their transportation/bridge team in Rocky Hill, CT. In this early-career role you will work under the direction of experienced bridge engineers and support analysis, design, and documentation for bridge and other transportation structures.
- Prepare and review structural design calculations for new bridge and transportation structures
- Perform load ratings and condition assessments of existing bridges
- Produce construction drawings (plans, sections, details) and shop drawing review
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates
- Draft technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Assist with design support and engineering services during construction
- Perform visual surveys and structural observations for rehabilitation/repair projects
- Coordinate with in-house disciplines (geotechnical, roadway, hydraulics) as needed
- Collect and analyze data under supervision and use engineering software as a design/analysis tool
What We’re Looking For
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license (must pass Motor Vehicle Records review)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and willingness to learn
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
- Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification
- Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenBridge, or similar bridge/structural software
- Strong fundamentals in structural analysis, steel and concrete design
- Good verbal and written communication, time management, and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation range: USD 80,000 — USD 87,000 per year (final offer based on experience and qualifications)

Work Model & Additional Details
- Work location model: On‑Site (Rocky Hill, CT). This role requires in‑person Day 1 onboarding at a client office location.
- Start timeframe: Position is expected to begin in Summer 2027.

- Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
