What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level / Associate Scientist to join a Scientific & QA team in Prathersville, MO. This is an entry-level laboratory role working under established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will support research, development, and routine analytical testing under CGMP and/or GLP guidelines and help maintain high data quality and regulatory compliance.
- Perform routine and method-driven analytical assays and sample analysis (HPLC and/or GC).
- Follow SOPs, protocols, and CGMP/GLP documentation practices; accurately record and report data.
- Enter and retrieve data in a LIMS (when required) and maintain traceability of samples and results.
- Prepare reagents, standards, and test materials; operate and maintain lab equipment according to SOPs.
- Assist with study setup, monitoring, and quality control checks to ensure data integrity.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace; comply with laboratory safety and waste-disposal procedures.
- Communicate findings and observations clearly to supervisors and project teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a directly related field (or equivalent coursework).
- Authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Familiarity with laboratory environments and basic lab techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow written and verbal directions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred / Valuable Experience
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and/or GC instrumentation.
- Experience working under GLP and/or GMP environments.
- Experience with LIMS platforms.
- Any prior lab internships, co-ops, or coursework involving analytical instrumentation.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong documentation practices.
Hours & Location
- Full-time — Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- This role is based in Prathersville, MO (near Columbia). Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of the site are encouraged to apply.
