Entry Level Behavior Therapist (Paid Training)
The Behavior Technician provides 1:1 and group ABA therapy services to children with autism and neurodevelopmental differences, implementing positive behavior strategies and documenting progress. Your Impact & Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and group behavior-analytic services to children with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.
- Implement positive behavior strategies developed with your supervising BCBA.
- Use evidence-based practices to generate meaningful progress for children and families.
- Collect and document session data to track treatment goals and progress.
- Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to create supportive, generalizable learning environments.
- Follow the client’s crisis protocols, including de-escalation procedures and mandated reporting.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children; experience with autism is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s or master’s degree holders are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to obtain the Board-Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) credential within 90 days of start (training and exam support provided).
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel consistently between client sites within a 30–40 minute radius.
- Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and basic Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication, empathy, and a collaborative mindset.
Schedule, Location & Employment Type
- Location: Laguna Beach, CA (on-site, traveling between client homes/centers in the local area).
- Employment type: Part-time.
- This role requires a post-offer background check and motor vehicle report review.
